Transparency: how this site is funded

Parks and Wonders is free to read. It is funded by commissions from some of the booking links on its pages.

Affiliate links

On some pages, the “Where to stay” and “Plan your visit” sections link to booking platforms for accommodation, tickets or guided tours. If you book through one of these links, the platform pays us a commission. The price you pay does not change.

Pages that contain affiliate links say so before the first link.

What commissions never change

• Which places we cover: a park or a cave gets a page because people want to visit it, whether or not it can be booked online.
• Rules, prices and opening dates: they come from the site manager, as explained on the page about how we check our information.
• The order of places in lists, which follows our own criteria (type, distance, best season), never a payment.

Our independence

Every page is written without payment from a site manager, an operator or a platform, and none of them can buy a change to it.

Cookies and booking maps

Accommodation maps and embedded videos come from third parties and may set cookies. They only load after you agree, and you can change your choice at any time with the round cookie button at the bottom left of every page. Audience measurement on the site is anonymous and cookie-free.
